October Should be Fun

Dear all,

A couple of activities that you can come join in the coming weeks. Please let us know if you’re coming (we hope you do!), by leaving a comment, message us on facebook, email, sms, etc etc – whichever works for you - so that we can make arrangements.

No worries on transportation, we can plan for that once attendance is confirmed.

1. Recycling Centre Help Out
Helping out in a recycling centre by doing some physical work like sorting items, shifting items, etc. A follow up of our “Go Green” FT2 Weekend

When : Saturday, 24th Oct 2009
Time : 3.00p.m. – 6.00p.m.
Where : Section 17, Petaling Jaya (detailed map and directions will be sent later)

2. Terry Fox Run KL 2009
Terrance Stanley "Terry" Fox, CC (July 28, 1958 – June 28, 1981) was a Canadian humanitarian, athlete, and cancer treatment activist. He became famous for the Marathon of Hope, a cross-Canada run to raise money for cancer research, which Fox ran with one prosthetic leg.

The Terry Fox Run is run around the world every year to raise awareness and funds for cancer research. It is non-competitive with no winners or awards, just people joining to raise money for cancer research.

When : Sunday, 1 November 2009
Time : Flag off @ 9.00 a.m., gather at 8.45am
Where : Starting point – Taman Tasik Perdana/Lake Gardens, KL; within walking distance from Masjid Jamek Putra LRT Station
