We're in the midst of organizing FT Weekend 2 which tentatively will be held on 22-23 August 2009. A few topics were suggested and we need your help in deciding on one.
Please RANK YOUR PREFERENCE from 1 - 5 for the following choices:
Choice A: First Aid Workshop
Learn some basic first aid skills, which may come in handy someday. You'll never know!
Choice B: Taking Care of Yourself - Health Consciousness
Get to know and understand your body, and how you can live a healthy lifestyle. (Note: No, we're not gonna make you run round SMI's field ten times... or we may!)
Choice C: Consumerism and Materialism
Consciously or subconsciously, each of us is affected by consumerism and crass materialism, whether in school or at work. We'll seek to explore more on its causes, effects, and how can we deal with it.
Choice D: Reflection
To learn more about reflection skills, and its practicality in our everyday lives - skills, impact, and how will it help us.
Choice E: Go Green!
Explore environmental issues and how Lasallians can play a part in saving the world (literally).
Do take a few minutes to make a choice and leave a comment on your preference. It won't take long!

Health is very Important. We are young and we need to maintain proper health to ensure we got a healthy retirement.
+Planning Healthy Young will give a healthy future. Everybody need realize. For an example Smoking, why is the trend becoming more popular? What do you gain actually? Balance Diet another thing...Do we have balance diet everyday?
Conclusion here: We must set a good example to be health conscious. We must encourage our family to practice too. When everybody is healthy = it is a happy home.
I feel Health Conscious is a very important topic.

Point to Add-
The reason i chose Go Green as my 1st preference was because it not only covered an alarming state of our planet but also it partially covers two other topics, as i see it, consumerism and health consciousness.
With the environment deteriorating rapidly, the said topic could help reassess the criticisms of consumerism and highlight the importance of this equation; healthy environment= healthy life. (get wat i mean?)
Fast fact: Ocean acidification due to increased CO2 absorption by the sea has rendered many sea creatures unable to adapt to the change, esp the increased number of beaching whales
